SPELLBOOK FOR IPHONE

Privacy Policy

Effective August 31, 2026

Spellbook is a parent-supervised outdoor learning app for children. It is designed to work offline and does not require an account.

Data collection

Spellbook does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, social features, or third-party software development kits.

Camera and sensor processing

With permission, Spellbook uses the device camera to look for broad object evidence, connected triangle sides, and steady body poses. Camera frames are processed on the device and are not saved or transmitted.

Spellbook uses the device magnetometer to support compass quests. It never requests geographic location and does not build, save, or transmit a location trail. Motion and heading processing happen on the device.

Camera permission can be revoked at any time in Settings. Spellbook provides grown-up-confirmed fallbacks when camera or heading evidence is unavailable.

Information stored on the device

Quest progress, points, rank, discoveries, difficulty, selected learning world, onboarding status, and selected safety boundary are stored locally on the device. This information is used only to preserve the family’s progress. Deleting the app removes this locally stored information.

Children’s privacy

Spellbook does not create child profiles, request a child’s name, enable public communication, or collect identifiers. A grown-up is expected to supervise every quest and keep control of the phone.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected on this page by updating the effective date.
