Camera is off or the compass is unavailable

Open Settings, choose Spellbook, and review Camera access. Compass quests use the device magnetometer and never request geographic location. Every unavailable sensor state offers grown-up confirmation or a different quest.

A camera quest does not recognize the scene

Stand still, use even light, keep the complete object or construction inside the finder, and avoid a busy background. Camera evidence is intentionally conservative. The grown-up can confirm the real-world work or choose a different quest.

Safety comes before points

Stop immediately near roads, parking areas, water, moving playground equipment, animals, strangers, poor visibility, extreme weather, or any discomfort. The grown-up keeps the phone. A child should never run, climb, swing, or slide while watching or holding it.

Report an issue

Open a support request on GitHub with the iPhone model, iOS version, quest title, and a short description of what happened.

Protect the child’s privacy: do not post a child’s name, face, voice, school, or precise location.
